This was stated here on Sunday by Joint Collector Lakshmikantham while releasing the logo of Father Ferrer Memorial Journalists’ Cricket Tournament here at the Press Club. He promised to extend all benefits to journalists. The JC praised Father Ferrar for his services to the district. The Rural Development Trust floated by Ferrer was a boon, he observed.
Revenue Divisional Officer Hussain Sab observed that such tournaments would help journalists get relief from tensions.
Among those present were Working Journalists’ Union president Macha Ramalinga Reddy, National Council member Markandeyulu, Tournament Organising Committee chairman Ravi Varma, District Electronic Media Association president Rasool, Media Employees’ Association president Sivananda.
