AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday chaired a cabinet meeting where discussions were held on the call money scam that is causing a stir in Vijayawada.

With the winter session all set to begin from December 17, the AP government is planning to bring up a proposal for introducing a Bill on money laundering.

Chandrababu is said to have questioned Home Minister N Chinnarajappa and police officials the delay in wrapping up the case. The Chief Minister also cancelled the leave of Vijayawada Commissioner of Police Gautam Sawang in order to intensify the probe and directed the officials to take stringent action against the culprits irrespective of the prominence they bear.
