Usha Gokani, who is on a four day visit to the state visiting schools and colleges to propagate the peace path of Gandhiji explained how she got influenced by the simplicity of Mahatma Gandhi at a tender age.
Speaking to media persons at The Cultural centre of Vijayawada at Malaxmi chambers in Vijayawada on Wednesday, she stressed on the need for propagating Gandhian peace path to establish world peace.
Speaking on the occasion Cultural centre chairman Y Harishchandra Prasad said that the cultural centre proposed to develop a peace park in new capital Amaravati. He said that the centre submitted representations to officials seeking permission.
He said a meditation centre and convention centre should be developed at the peace park to organize peace lectures of eminent people from all over the world.
Earlier Usha Gokani inaugurated a sculptural exhibition of Swarnalatha Mohapatra organized at the venue. Cultural centre CEO E Sivanagi Reddy and others were present.
