Vijayawada: The 25th State-level Viplava Rachayatula Sangham (Virasam) convention will be held from January 9 to 10 at Siddhartha Auditorium in Moghalrajpuram in the city.
Announcing this at a press conference here on Tuesday, revolutionary writer Varavara Rao said that Prof. Lakshmi Narayana will speak on the topic ‘Corporate Education-Students’ Suicide’ as part of the inaugural session.
In the afternoon session, Virasam leader Iqbal will speak on ‘Corporate Agriculture- Farmers’ Suicide’, followed by Kavigayaka sabha and dance ballet on ‘Navyandhra Bhu Dopidi’, he said.
On the second day, Virasam leaders Basit will speak on Hindutva Hatyalu- Samskruthika Mulaalu’, ‘Agitations opposing Reservations -Upper Caste’ topic will be delivered by Khasim. "This will be followed by a procession and a public meeting. Kalyana Rao, Varavara Rao, D Prabhkar and Arasavalli Krishna will address the public meeting,’’ he said.
Responding to the Maoists threat to punish call money lenders, Varavara Rao lambasted Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for protecting his party men who forcibly pushed women into flesh trade.
