Releasing diaries of Technical Officers Association of transport department along with the pamphlets on road safety awareness, here on Thursday, the Minister said, “The State government is committed to make the Andhra Pradesh accident-free. To achieve this, we request complete cooperation from public. In a bid to increase awareness among the youth, the transport department will conduct seminars on road safety in the colleges and universities across the State.”

Detailing about the plans to strengthen the engineering section in road transport department, Raghava Rao also hinted about introduction of various reforms. “Motorists must wear helmet, while driving as the number of deaths in accidents are more due to head injuries. It is the responsibility of all to have a safe road journey,” he added.

JTC Prasada Rao, Technical Officers Association president K V Subba Rao, general secretary K Seetharami Reddy, vice-president Siva Nageswara Rao and other officials of the transport department took part in the programme.
