Theft at TDP MP's office, Rs 5 lakh robbed

Robbers broke into TDP MP Rayapati Sambasiva Rao's camp office at Srinagar colony at Bharathinagar in Vijayawada and fled with Rs 5 lakhs cash, according to reports. On the other hand, reports said that the office did not belong to Rayapati but a real-estate person.

The theft came to light when the camp office staff came into office as usual for duty. The staff have locked the office on Friday night and went to their homes. But the door was open when they came in the morning and cash in the cupboard was found missing.

The officials immediately informed the police. Fingerprint experts were also put on the job. ADCC and ASI visited the spot. Investigations are on, said the police.
