MLC’s drunken son mows down 2 cows
In an incident that occurred in the early hours of Monday, a car belonging to MLC Anguri Lakshmi Siva Kumari from East Godavari mowed down two cows before hitting an electric pole and damaging two parked four wheelers at Wharf Road in Kakinada. Four persons, who were on board, also sustained injuries.

According to sources, the MLC’s car bearing number AP 07 BL 3848 was coming from Jagannaickpur bridge area in Kakinada on Wharf Road and hit two cows on the road at Ganjamvari street junction near Venkataramana Gas Agencies and later hit an electric pole. Later, the car also hit two parked cars and overturned.
Both Anguri Praveen (21), son of MLC, and his friend K Sudheer (21) and two women were pulled out of the car by locals. The two youth were said to be under the influence of alcohol.
The One Town police rushed to the spot and cleared the traffic. They were admitted to a nearby hospital. It is said that the two injured women were shifted to an unknown hospital for medical care to avoid media attention.
Contradicting the locals’ version, the police maintained that only two men were travelling and no women were present inside the four-wheeler. The I Town police registered a case and took up investigation.
