Minister for Excise Kollu Ravindra said that cement roads will be laid in all the villages in the State within two years as part of  ‘Chandranna Baata’ programme. The Minister inaugurated panchayat new building that was constructed with Rs 12 lakh at Kottanavarasapuram village in Narsapuram mandal in West Godavari district on Tuesday. 

Narsapuram: Minister for Excise Kollu Ravindra said that cement roads will be laid in all the villages in the State within two years as part of ‘Chandranna Baata’ programme. The Minister inaugurated panchayat new building that was constructed with Rs 12 lakh at Kottanavarasapuram village in Narsapuram mandal in West Godavari district on Tuesday.

He also inaugurated the protected drinking water scheme which was constructed under NTR Sujala Sravanthi scheme. The Minister laid foundation stone for the construction of Veterinary and Diagnostic Centre building. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the State government was giving top priority for providing basic infrastructure and amenities in the rural areas in order to develop the rural areas.

As part of this, the government has decided to complete 33,000 km length roads works within two years out of 55,000 km rural roads. He said that already 22,000 km length roads have been laid in the rural areas. He further stated that the BC Residential School that was sanctioned to Narsapuram constituency would be constructed soon.

Narsapuram MLA Bandaru Madhava Naidu presiding over the meeting said that the Telugu Desam government has waived off Rs 24,000 crore loans to the farmers in the State. In Narsapuram Constituency under SC, ST Sub-plan, basic amenities would be provided in all the ST SC Colonies, he informed.

Later, the Minister opened the pot water centre in Narsapuram town. Sub-Collector AS Dinesh Kumar, Narsapuram Area Hospital Development Committee chairman Bandaru Patel Naidu, AMC Chairman Rayudu Sriramulu, Municipal Chairperson Pasupuleti Ratnamala, Excise Deputy Commissioner YB Bhaskara Rao and others participated in the programmes along with the Minister.
