CITU leaders’ arrest condemned

Visakhapatnam: The CITU district general secretary S Ramesh severely condemned the arrest of CITU leaders on Sunday for supporting the just cause of Brandix workers demanding a wage hike.

He alleged that the Inspector and Sub-Inspector of Atchyutapuram station unilaterally apprehended the leaders R Ramu and G Demudu Naidu by summoning them to the station for talks. Demanding release of the leaders, he warned that the agitation would be intensified against the ‘anti-worker’ policies of State government and the Brandix company.
