House burgled
Burglars decamped with 30 sovereigns of gold ornaments in a house at Tanuku town in West Godavari district on Monday night.

According to police, the burglars entered the house of Teki Veeramma, an old woman residing near a Shadikhana in Pathuru in Tanuku town, after breaking the main door locks. They also broke open the cabinet. After a thorough check, they found gold ornaments in a bag that kept in the bedroom and decamped with 30 sovereigns of gold ornaments. The old woman, Veeramma, went to her daughter’s place nearby village four days back.
When she returned on Tuesday morning, she found her house door broke open.
She complained to the town police about the burglary and stated that the burglars took away 30 sovereigns of gold ornaments from her bedroom.
Tanuku CI Ch Rambabu and SI G Srinivas reached to the house and inspected the place of the offence. Clues team and dog squad also plunged into action. Police suspect that the burglary might have taken place on Monday night.
