Vijayawada: MP Kesineni Srinivas has said top priority will be given to improve facilities for devotees going to visit the city for Krishna Pushkaralu. He said that the Kanaka Durga temple would be developed on par with the TTD.
Kesineni Srinivas and MLC Budha Venkanna inspected the ongoing development works at Kanaka Durga temple on Sunday as per the directions of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. The MP inspected the works at the foot hill from Mallikharjuna Mahamandapam and atop Indrakeeladri. He enquired the officials over the particulars of works and asked them to speed up the works.
The MP directed the temple authorities to develop the hill view point on the ghat road as people can view the Prakasam barrage, Bhavani island and Amaravati capital from the place. Later, interacting with media persons, the MP said that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was keen on development of Krishna riverfront and Kanaka Durga temple for Krishna Pushkaralu as per schedule. He said that he inspected the Krishna Pushkar Ghat works on Saturday.
The MP said that the government was planning to develop greenery in the surrounding of the temple. He asked the officials about possibilities of planting creepers along side the hill on the ghat road to provide a pleasant atmosphere to visiting devotees. He said that the Nityannadanam would be improved with the help of Akshaya Patra organisation. He said that he was going to monitor the temple development works daily along with Budha Venkanna and others. Temple executive officer Chadnrasekhar Azad and engineering officials were present.
