Eco-friendly stadium at GITAM varsity

Visakhapatnam: GITAM University developed an eco-friendly Indore Stadium with European standards using German technology and threw it open for the sports activities on Thursday. Vice-Chancellor Prof M S Prasada Rao inaugurated the Indoor Stadium named after Kodi Ramamurthy.

The stadium is first of its kind in Andhra Pradesh with eco-friendly cushioned multi functional floors with point elastic properties useful to play basketball, badminton and volleyball.

The university management invested around Rs 4 crore to modernise the stadium. For the past 15 years the university hosted several national and international sports training camps. The present facility will attract the sports lovers in a big way.
