Kakinada: State Deputy Chief Minister, N Chinarajappa called up the party cadre to give extensive propagation to government welfare schemes to create more awareness among masses. Presiding over the TDP district meeting organised in party office premises here on Wednesday, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the TDP government has been implementing several welfare measures in a more effective way despite financial constraints.

In this connection he asked the party cadre to gear up for the forthcoming Kakinada civic body polls which will be conducted in November or December this year. He also asked Kakinada MLA, V Venkateswara Rao to lead the party propagation with welfare schemes to ensure victory in the forthcoming civic body polls.

Turning his attention towards problems of farmers, he said that several measures including the Yeleru canal and reservoir and canal modernisation will be taken up to supply water for irrigation purpose for the two crop season in the upland areas of the district. Addressing the meeting, party leader from Chintur division, Komarapu Maneswaramma asked the party leadership to take up a special drive to control viral fevers and corruption in the newly-merged mandals.

These four mandals have been facing many problems due to the rampant corruption in official circles, he said. Maneswaramma asked the Deputy Chief Minister not to post officials to the division on a punishment basis. Party MP, Thota Narasimham, leaders Ganni Krishna, Chikkala Ramachandra Rao, Adireddy Appa Rao, Reddy Subrahmanyam, MLAs S V S N , Varma, V, Venkateswraa Rao and others spoke in the meeting.
