The State Cabinet will meet at Interim Secretariat Complex at Velagapudi here on Wednesday. The Cabinet will discuss tourism projects, land allocations, capital designs, Special Status issue, irrigation and Neeru Pragathi. ​Amaravati: The State Cabinet will meet at Interim Secretariat Complex at Velagapudi here on Wednesday. However, Chief Minister N Chandrababu said that the government would give utmost priority for housing schemes and those schemes would be discussed in the Cabinet meeting. Participating in a teleconference with officials from Delhi, he said 2.21 lakh farm ponds have been dug so far. He asked the officials to complete the remaining farm ponds to meet the target of three lakhs immediately.
The CM instructed the officials to take precautionary measures to avoid drinking water problem in the villages. All the tanks in the villages should be filled with water for next year, he said. The officials should make efforts to complete the construction of panchayat buildings and Anganwadi buildings as per the deadline.
The officials and concerned departments should work with better coordination and works should be completed speedily in February and March. He said that he would also inspect the works directly.
The officials were also directed to utilise the employment security funds as AP is top in the country.
The government has utilised funds of Rs 4,600 crore so far out of the total allocation of Rs 6,000 crore. He also asked the finance department officials to release Rs 300 crore.
