Now, a large number of people mostly the parents and students strongly feel that the US is no more safe place to pursue higher education, or settle in that country.

Now, a large number of people mostly the parents and students strongly feel that the US is no more safe place to pursue higher education, or settle in that country.
Youngsters, who had dreamt of going to the US till very recently, are now feeling unsafe to go to the US due to recent attacks on Indians particularly from Andhra Pradesh.
There is a drastic decline in the students, who wish to go and pursue further education in the US. After the Republican Party Presidential candidate Donald Trump took charge as the President of the United States of America on January 20. The president immediately started to impose restrictions and ban on foreigners to enter the United States.
After Donald Trump took charge as the President of United States, the US Congress introduced H1B visa reforms bill, which has become a big concern for the Indian software service industry and which would affect the foreigners.
The students, who wish to pursue graduation and post graduation in the US, are concerned about the changing reforms, said an educational consultant of Vijayawada. He said that the admission system into the universities of the United States are categorised as spring, summer and fall.
Most of the students from India prefer to take admission for the spring or fall sessions. For the summer sessions, admissions are open at a few universities and for a few courses only, he said.
The enquires for admissions into the US Universities are very less compared to the past in the wake of the attacks on Indians in the US. Students prefer universities in other countries like Australia for their masters and bachelor educational programmes, he added.
Speculation that Trump may issue an executive order curbing the H1B programmes, information and technology companies are planning to come out of the United States and prefer Canada as their first option.
Most of the software employees in the US are from Asia and more from India and most from Andhra Pradesh, said J Prabhakara Rao, father of a techie from Vijayawada, whose son works in United States for a multi-national company.
In the wake of the new hate and racial incident at Kansas, parents of software engineers and students perusing higher studies are gripped with fear on learning about such incidents, he added. Definitely the US is not a safe place for Indians after Trump assuming charge as the President. The apprehensions over religious and ethnic divide gripped after Trump took over.
