Peeved over the development, his long-time rival, party senior leader and former minister Ponnapureddy Ramasubba Reddy is reportedly is planning to leave the party in protest.

Angry over induction of his long-time rival Adinarayana Reddy into Cabinet

According to reliable sources, Ramasubba Reddy is going to hold a meeting of his followers at Jammalamadugu on Friday to discuss his continuation in the party.

The meeting was actually to be held on Thursday but has been postponed to Friday to coincide with newly-inducted minister Adinarayana Reddy’s maiden visit to the district after assuming office.Ramasubba Reddy is sulking over party supremo N Chandrababu Naidu’s decision to induct Adinarayana Reddy into Cabinet despite his opposition to the move from the beginning.

In the faction ridden Jammalamadugu area, there has been a running feud between families of P Ramasubba Reddy and Adinarayana Reddy for several decades. Ramasubba Reddy’s uncle Ponnapureddy Siva Reddy, popularly known as Bombula Siva Reddy, was brutally murdered by his political rivals in a bomb blast many years ago in Hyderabad.

Though factionism was almost eradicated in the Jammalamadugu area now, but political rivalry is going on between the two families, with Ramasubba Reddy contesting on the TDP ticked for three times in 2004, 2009 and 2014 general elections from Jammalamadugu constituency and Adinarayana Reddy contesting for two times on Congress ticket and one time on YSR Congress ticket, in 2014, elections.

In all the three elections, Ramasubba Reddy was defeated in the hands of Adinarayana Reddy.Meanwhile, Adinarayana Reddy left the YSRCP and joined the TDP following differences with party chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy. The TDP leadership, determined as

it is to taken on the YSRCP on Jagan’s home turf Kadapa district, welcomed Adinarayana Reddy with open arms in spite of vociferous protests from Ramasubba Reddy’s group.But the inclusion of Adinarayana Reddy reopened the old wound, with Ramasubba Reddy’s followers mounting pressure on him to leave the party.
