Speaking to media here on Monday, Roja said that she had no need to criticise the Chief Minister unnecessarily and she was only speaking on public grievances and the failures of the government.
She said the government lost its credibility among people as the Chief Minister had not fulfilled the promises he had made before elections.
On objections from certain quarters, including Shivsena to her making political statements at Tirumala, she pointed out that many TDP ministers like Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao made political statements at Tirumala and what is objectionable about her speaking politics.
“Why should I stop talking politics at Tirumala hill shrine? I don’t care warnings of the Shivsena and other Hindu religious organisations,” she said.
Denying that she has been acting in TV serials for money and publicity, Roja said was acting only for public entertainment and in social service related programmes only.
