Foreign currency in Sri Kanakamahalakshmi templ hundi

Visakhapatnam: Officials of Sri Kanakamahalakshmi temple were surprised to find foreign currency in its hundi during the counting on Wednesday.

Deputy commissioner of the temple SJ Madhavi said they found US $ 21, Singapore $ 10, Australian $ 20, British pounds 20, Qatar one riyal, Saudi Arabia one riyal and Indian currency Rs 17,99,520. This was the cash that accumulated during the last 34 days.

The collection will go up during sravanamasam auspicious days. Other than cash, the temple received 47 grams of gold and 835 grams of silver ornaments.
