YSR Congress Party organised ‘Walk with Jagan’ on the occasion of his padayatra completing 1,000 km on Monday. In a release on Monday, the party said ‘Walk with Jagan’ event was organised in various countries from January 26 to 28 to mark Jagan completing 1,000 km of his Praja Sankalpa Yatra.
Amaravati: YSR Congress Party organised ‘Walk with Jagan’ on the occasion of his padayatra completing 1,000 km on Monday. In a release on Monday, the party said ‘Walk with Jagan’ event was organised in various countries from January 26 to 28 to mark Jagan completing 1,000 km of his Praja Sankalpa Yatra. The party also said the party MPs and the party’s New Delhi unit on Monday organised the same programme in Delhi.
The party said YSRC MPs Vijayasai Reddy and Y V Subba Reddy led the walkathon with party supporters from Andhra Pradesh Bhawan to Pandit Ravishankar lane in solidarity and extending support to their leader. Vijayasai Reddy said, “We would highlight the issues of Andhraites which came to the notice of YS Jaganmohan Reddy during the padyatra in Parliament.
Also, we will demand for Special Category Status of AP, Dugarajupatnam port, Polavaram Project and steel factory at Kadapa during the ongoing Parliament session,” he said. “People from different walks of life are meeting him to share their problems with our leader,” said YV Subba Reddy. The party also said Andhra Pradesh NRIs in various countries, including Middle East, US, UK, Singapore, Australia, France and Malaysia organised the walkathon.
Andhra diaspora in Middle Eastern countries came onto roads and walked for 2 km and extended their support to the YSRCP chief YS. In USA, the Andhra NRIs of 10 major American cities, including Washington D.C, Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit etc turned up for the walkathon and participated in ‘walk with Jagan’, said the release.
“The people, who can’t come directly and meet the opposition leader, organised the walkathon in European countries like France and UK and in Asian countries like Singapore and Malaysia. They offered their support to YS Jagan Mohan Reddy,” he party said.
“The Praja Sankalpa Yatra has witnessed people and representatives from various sections of the society who have come to meet the opposition leader in large numbers to raise their issues and extend their support,” the party said.
