Endowments Minister Pydikondala Manikyala Rao visited Srisailam temple on Tuesday and offered clothes to Sringeri Sharadha Peetham Sri Sri Sri Jagadguru Vidhusekhara Swamy after having his darshan.
Kurnool: Endowments Minister Pydikondala Manikyala Rao visited Srisailam temple on Tuesday and offered clothes to Sringeri Sharadha Peetham Sri Sri Sri Jagadguru Vidhusekhara Swamy after having his darshan.
Temple Executive Officer (EO) Narayana Bharath Gupta, Vedic pandits and main priest of the temple gave a warm welcome to the Minister. They received him according to the temple honours at Rajagopuram.
Later, the Minister was taken to Ashirvachana Mandapam in the temple where he was offered with Ammavari Sesha Vastra besides Prasadam and a portrait of the presiding deities.
After completion of the formalities, the temple staff took the Minister where the developmental works are under progress. The Minister also visited the Paladhara and Panchadhara and offered prayers to Sharada Mouleeswara and Adi Shankara.
He also inspected the construction of Sharada Chandramouleeshwara and Shankara Temple being taken up by the temple authorities. On this occasion, the temple authorities have arranged a programme of flute music by renowned flautist Dr Jayaprada Ramamurthy.
Mrudangam by Kasavarapu Subba Rao, Tabala by RP Raju and Talam by Kumari Suvarchala supported the flautist. Dr Jayaprada is the first woman flautist in the Telugu speaking states. She has given several national and international performances and also won several state and national awards.
