YSRCP Legislative Council Floor Leader UmmareddyVenkateswarlu, MLC Alla Kali Krishna Srinivas (Nani), CPM district secretary ChintakayalaBabuRao, CPI leader K Krishnamacharyulu, MCPI district secretary S Nagaraju, CPM Elurucommittee secretary P Kishore and others addressing the human chain criticised that the BJP-TDP combine has betrayed the Andhra people in the name of Special Category Status.
They alleged that the Centre did not implement the assurances mentioned in the APReorganisation Act and demanded the Centre to accord SCS and set up Railway Zone at Visakhapatnam and Steel factory at Kadapa. They extended support to the YSRCP MPs who introduced no-confidence motion against the BJP government in the parliament.
