Guntur: A Sobhayatra was taken out on the occasion of arrival of Sringeri north seer Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Maha Swamy to city on Saturday.
Vedic scholars welcomed him with Puranakumbham.
He sat on the specially designed Hamsa Vahanam and was taken in a procession from Sri Venkateswara Vignana Mandiram to Sri Peetham.
Sri Sarada Parameswari Temple dharmadhikari Polisetty Hari Prasada Rao, Polisetty Syam Sundar, VVIT chairman Vasireddy Vidyasagar couple, Brahmma Rao also participated.
Later, Dhulipada puja was performed.
Addressing the gathering, Vidushekhara Bharati Swamy stressed on the need to follow Sanatana dharma and perform pujas to god and respect the elders.
On Sunday, they conducted Vedapanditula Sammelanam with the Vedic pundits from various states.
Later, Vidhushekhara Saraswati performed Chadramouleswara Swamy puja and gave prasadam to the devotees.
