Amaravati: State Assembly Speaker Dr Kodela Sivaprasada Rao suggested minor changes in the Assembly plan submitted by the representatives of Norman Foster Company.

The Speaker told them that the Assembly secretariat should be nearer to the Speaker's office and all the offices of the Assembly staff should be situated at one place.

Suitable place should be given to the offices of the government chief whip and whip, he said and added that offices of the floor leaders of various political parties should be given suitable place. The Speaker also told them that separate offices should be provided to all political parties by providing all facilities.

Likewise, the Speaker also put forward various suggestions over the placement of the offices of the Speaker, Leader of the House and Leader of the Opposition party.

The Speaker discussed over the plan for over two hours with the plan makers including the position of the Assembly, Council, Central Hall, and Staff offices among others. He also discussed the security aspect of the Assembly building which would be in five floors.
