Only Congress can establish steel plant in Kadapa: Tulasi Reddy
Senior Congress leader and Pradesh Congress Committee PCC vicepresident N Tulasi Reddy said that the BJP, TDP and YSR Congress parties do not have any clarity in achieving steel plant instead they are playing political game over the issue for securing political mileage in view of ensuing elections
Kadapa: Senior Congress leader and Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) vice-president N Tulasi Reddy said that the BJP, TDP and YSR Congress parties do not have any clarity in achieving steel plant instead they are playing political game over the issue for securing political mileage in view of ensuing elections. He said in case either TDP or BJP laid foundation stone for establishment of steel plant, it would be only confined to stone plaque to draw the attention of people in the elections.
Speaking to the mediapersons at Vempalli on Saturday, the PCC leader said the BJP-led NDA government has to answer the people why it was not according permission to set up steel plant in Kadapa even as there are natural resources like land, minerals, water, road and rail connectivity available in Kadapa district. He regretted that the NDA government is yet to establish the steel plant though it has been promised in AP Reorganisation Act-2014. He said that if the Congress party would have been voted to power in the 2014 elections, the SAIL would have completed 60 per cent of construction works of the steel plant.
