Plea to upgrade SGTs as Language Pandits

Ongole: Secretaries of Secondary Grade Teachers Federation met Minister for Forests, Environment, Science and Technology Siddha Raghavarao at his camp office here on Monday to explain him about their issues and requested his cooperation.
The secretaries, Katragadda Madhavi, Daarivemula James Prabhakar Rao, Pothupalepu Srinivas explained the minister that there were about 1,05,000 SGTs in 13 districts of the state.
They said that in the first phase of the upgradation of language pundits, SGTs were not given a chance due to the GOs 14 and 15. Now, the government was taking up the second phase of upgradation, they complained to the minister, without giving the chance to SGTs again.
They asked the minister to advocate with the government to provide the opportunity of upgradation as language pundits to the Telugu, Hindi and Urdu SGTs as per the seniority.
They thanked the minister for hearing their issue compassionately and promising to take up the issue to the government notice and ensure justice to them.
