Visakhapatnam: The flower show organised as part of the Visakha Utsav is drawing huge response from visitors. The Visakhapatnam Metro Region Development Authority (VMRDA) is oragnising the flower show at its Central Park located behind the RTC Complex in the city.
HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao inaugurated the flower show along with Commissioner of VMRDA Basanth Kumar and Joint Collector G Srujana here on Friday.
Over 130 varieties of flowers including imported ones from other countries arranged with eye-catching models in the show. Welcoming the visitors, the organisers decorated the flowers in various shapes including big arches also.
The flowers arranged as tea is pouring from the kettle into a cup is enthralling the audience and receiving big compliments. A variety of flowers including baby carnations, helicon, andhuria, tiger orchids, orchids, chamanthi, Asiatix and oriental lilly supported with various types of colourful gross varieties used in the decorations.
The decorators paid special efforts in selection of contrast by using matching colorful flowers. This time, the artists also used a big number of fragrant flowers in the show. Majority flowers used in the show were brought from Bangalore, Kadium of East Godavari, Thailand, Kolkata and some places in Tamil Nadu.
The vegetable carving displays and bonsai trees also enthralling the audience. While visiting the flower show, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu appreciated the organisers. The flower show is the top attraction in the utsav, he complimented.
