For the first time since its launch in October 2015, the Mahindra Mojo’s monthly sales figure surpassed that of the Honda CBR250R. The feat is commendable considering that Mojo was sold only in 4 cities in February while the CBR250R is available throughout the nation.

The Mojo is expected to keep its nemesis at bay in the coming months as it has been launched in 15 more cities this month (totally 19 cities). Last month, the flagship Mahindra registered sales of 93 units as against the CBR250R’s sales figure of just 83 units. In fact, the Japanese motorcycle witnessed a sharp decline in its sales last month from 212 units to 83 units.

The Mojo will expand into new markets in a phased manner. It is currently available in 19 cities.
Mahindra would be increasing the Mojo’s presence across the country in a phased manner and is also in the process of introducing the top-end ABS version (testing in currently underway). Honda, on the other hand, doesn’t appear keen to be updating the CBR250R or replace it with the CBR300R anytime soon.

Mahindra Mojo Review
An ABS version of the flagship motorcycle is currently in the works.
Both Mahindra Mojo and Honda CBR250R targets touring enthusiasts who are looking for a reasonably priced motorcycle with effortless mile munching abilities and good levels of comfort. In terms of real world performance and refinement, both motorcycles are pretty much at par but the Mojo’s upmarket components like Pirelli tyres and Paioli designed suspension system give it an advantage.
