Tirupati: Visalandhra Mahasabha general secretary Parakala Prabhakar has arrived here and interacted with the activists of Samikyandhra. He said that he was inspired with the agitations going on in Tirupati town and all over Chittoor district. He launched ‘Samaikyatha Bus Yatra’ here at Municipal Officer after public address at relay hunger strike camp organised by Samikyandhra Parirakshana Samithi.

Addressing the gathering he said that the division of state was nothing but dividing the Telugu-speaking people.
Sonia Gandhi might have convinced the union ministers, MPs, state ministers, MLAs and MLCs, chief minister and PCC Chief, but no common man would accept the division of the state, he said.

To satiate the interests of a few persons, the State should not be divided, he added. The spirit being showed by people of Seemandhra region was nothing but their strong aspirations, he said. Congress chief Sonia Gandhi has taken the decision unilaterally without taking the feelings and sentiments of people of Seemandhra region into consideration, he pointed out.

Recalling the past statements on issues of under-development, backwar -dness, partiality in allocation of funds and others by Telangana leaders, Parakala said that they were proved to be false and baseless. Hence the Telangana politicians and JAC leaders came forward once again with ‘self respect’ and ‘sentiments’, he pointed out. Certainly he will enter the Telangana region through this ‘Samaikyatha Bus Yatra’ to explain the need of a united state and problems people would face with the division of the state, he replied to a query.
