Pizza 2 on the hot track of success

‘Pizza 2- The Villa’ which released last Saturday is slowly, but steadily, getting a good response from the audience, thanks to the positive word of mouth, the crew said. The movie is a sequel to ‘Pizza’ which was a good commercial and critical success. Speaking about the response to the movie in its first week, director Deepan said, “The movie is going great guns and I am glad that people are appreciating the effort we have put in”. The director reserved special praise for actor Nasseer who has a key role in the movie and is getting good applause from the audience. “It’s a challenging role for both the lead actors - Ashok Selvan and Sanchita Shetty and I am happy they pulled it off well”, he added.

Director Maruthi who co-produced the movie said, “Even though the publicity was low-key, the movie is going strong”. He complimented Deepan and his team for making the movie.

Newbie Sanchita Shetty is delighted with the response she has got for her debut flick. “I am lucky that I could do a different character in my very first film” she says excitedly. The Bengaluru girl is overjoyed with the response for her character. Though she did not have any prior acting experience, she attributes her ‘acting genes’ to her grandmother who was a theatre artiste. She says she has been approached for roles although nothing has been finalised yet.
