When asked whether he will take Pawan Kalyan’s side, Ali said, ‘You know the answer’, indicating that he will travel along with his close associate of two decades

If Pawan Kalyan is taking a plunge into politics, one expects Ali to support his good friend, right? Yes, indeed the ace comedian would be, as we’ve learnt from close sources that he would be actively involved with Pawan’s political entry and is also expected to contest from his hometown Rajahmundry. Ali has earned the tag of a Good Samaritan in his native village as he was involved with many welfare works, ranging from laying borewells to helping the visually-challenged through Mohammad Basha Charitable Trust, his foundation named after his late dad.

Once an active TDP member, he campaigned for Alapati Raja, Sanakkayala Aruna, Ramanaidu, M Venkatasubbaiah, TG Venkatesh, KE Prabhakar, Erram Rajashekar, Ayyana Patrudu and Ghanta Srinivasa Rao in the past and they all emerged victorious from their respective constituencies.

When Hans Talkies contacted, Ali said, “I haven’t discussed anything with Pawan Kalyan as of now. He is extremely busy. He even failed to take my call (smiles). He is expected to speak his thoughts next Friday- March 14.” Will he take Pawan’s side? “You know the answer,” he responded, clearly hinting that he is game to be an active member in Pawan’s new endeavour.

Meanwhile, we’ve also learnt that most of the members who would be fielded into elections on behalf of Pawan’s new party would be ex-service officials of IAS, IPS besides former Yuvarajyam members who travelled with the actor closely. It is also understood that after announcing his plans on March 14 in Hyderabad, Pawan is expected to speak at a massive gathering on March 16 in Vijayawada.
