“A DAY IN THE CITY”, A Kannada Commercial Feature Film which is currently under production is all set to hit screens in July this year.

The movie is a thriller with a message. The movie revolves around how Government Officers function efficiently and also touches upon the subject of National Integration. The movie revolves around an incident that happens in the city of Bangalore metro and how a situation goes from bad to worse. This incident creates panic in the entire city badly affecting the public. How the issue is resolved forms the crux of the Story. This movie will be eye opener for Citizens of India as it emphasizes on the challenges faced by them on a daily basis.

The duration of the movie is 120+ min (2hrs 5min), shot in different locations. The script work took almost 6 months while the shooting took around 3 months. The movie is now on the editing table.

Key people behind A DAY IN THE CITY

C V Shivashankar who has 50 yrs of experience in Indian cinema (Kannada/Tamil/Telugu). Produced and Directed more than 15+ movies in South India, 3 times Karnataka state Award winner (Puttana Kanagal, Kempegowda, and Rajyotsava Award). He was one of the Jury Members in the National Film Award committee between 2013-14.

C V Shivashankar has introduced several fresh faces to the film industry who are among leading actors. He worked along Legends like Dr. Rajkumar, Shivaji Ganeshan & MGR.

Srinivas Kappanna Kappanna is the formerChairman of Kendra Nataka Kala Academy and won several awards from Delhi and other states too.

Venkat Bharadwaj | Director of the Movie, is a Writer, Director – Music & Films and an actor. His rise started in 2001 with writing short stories, conceptualizing the content. Till now he has directed several short films, music videos. Short Film ‘Polish – A silent Movie” was a huge success in Middle East, Africa and USA. Polish movie was also screened at major film festivals.

Venkat is one of the sons of C V Shivashankar. Most of the crew in the film are IT professionals who have invested their time on their weekends to shoot the movie. A Day in the City has more than 45 Characters where 90% are IT people with strong acting background.
