Actress Preeti Rana in Awe of Ram Gopal VarmaWhile her first film ‘Aa Aiduguru’ is yet to hit the screens, actress Preeti Rana has wrapped up her parts for Ram Gopal Varma’s film, ‘12’ with Manchu Vishnu. The Pune girl says she was meant to do a RGV film. “To begin with, I’ve lost ‘Rowdy’ because I met Ramu sir late. When I finally met him, he said he will get back to me, but within no time, he offered me ‘12’,” she recalls.

The actress says she impressed the filmmaker with the way she went about her role. “After few days of shooting, he said, ‘I’ve never seen a girl who is not so camera conscious.’ He also said that he didn’t expect such kind of performance from a newcomer like me.”

Admittedly, the actress too is bowled over by the way Varma operates. “He gets sucked into the script like no other director. We can discuss any issue with him freely as he has knowledge on a wide variety of topics. He is a philosopher, a reason why he commands such a great following on Twitter and Facebook,” she says.

Speaking about the film, a thriller, she says, “Ramu garu has dealt about the way a psycho operates. It’s about awareness and girl safety. I play one of the three leads opposite Vishnu, who plays a cop.” The actress has also dubbed for the film. Calling the experience as a learning curve, she says, “It’s a difficult job. I’ve understood when to pass and what expressions should I give for my scene.”
