Filmmaker SS Rajamouli has roped in internationally acclaimed Foley artiste Phillipe Van Leer to work for his magnum opus ‘Baahubali’, which is currently progressing in Hyderabad. For starters Foley is the reproduction of everyday sound effects that are added to film, video, and other media in post-production to enhance audio quality.
These reproduced sounds can be anything from the swishing of clothing and footsteps to squeaky doors and breaking glass. Phillipe will work for ‘Baahubali’ for a period of two weeks at the famous Dame Blanche complex in Belgium. In fact, he has commenced work Monday itself. ‘Baahubali’ sound designer PM Sateesh will collaborate with Phillipe during this period. Starring Prabhas, Rana and Anushka in the lead roles, the first part of the film will release in April 2014.
