Ranga Reddy: Woman assaulted by autowala

Hyderabad: An autowala at Shamshabad in Ranga Reddy district played up with a woman on Tuesday. He assaulted a woman with knife and robbed her gold and silver ornaments. This incident has created uproar locally.

Going into the details...Venkatamma, a woman hailing from Kollapadakal of Maheshwaram mandal in Ranga Reddy district, was at a private hospital in Shamshabad for the treatment of her daughter. While she was going back to her home by an auto rickshaw, she was attacked by the autowala along with another woman for her gold and silver ornaments.

When she refused to hand them over the jewellery, they attacked on her with knives. She lost her consciousness during the harassment. The duo robbed her gold & silver and fled away from the setting. A case has been registered by the police and they have been searching for the accused. More details are awaited.
