Hyderabad: A 58-year-old businessman was killed and his driver was injured in a road accident after the car in which the duo was travelling was rammed by an excavator in Aziznagar under Moinabad police station limits late on Thursday night.
The deceased identified as K Gopal Kulkarni, a resident of Tandur of Rangareddy district, along with his driver Chandrasekhar was returning home after visiting his friend’s place when the incident occurred. According to police, when the duo reached Aziznagar gate, their vehicle was knocked down by a speeding excavator. Due to the impact, both of them suffered head and back injuries and were immediately rushed to Osmania Hospital. Gopal succumbed to his injuries after battling for an hour whereas his driver is still undergoing treatment. Moinabad police registered a case and started investigation.
