Tackling Global Terror

Terrorists slaughtering innocent school children, shooting them mercilessly at the Army school in Peshawar in Pakistan was a scene of horror. This has made the entire world sit up and take notice. One question seems to be bothering everyone is how to tackle global terror which is spreading its menace.

With the rise of ISIS in Iraq and Syria, there's no denying that the world is in the grip of terror. However, some countries like Israel and others like US, Britain, China hit terror targets, they are raising their dreaded head in some form or the other.

Be it the al qaeda, Taliban, ISIS, Indian Mujahideen, names are immaterial as their only target is to wreak havoc carrying out terror attacks in all parts of the world. The US and other nations tried to differentiate terror groups trying to woo moderates among them but with no effect. Even Pakistan brand terrorists fighting in Afghan, Israel and India as freedom fighters and harboring them in their country.

Pakistan was forced to take action only due to US pressure and this double standards resulted in paying a huge price when terrorists killed school children to avenge attack which they never expected from their Pakistani bosses. Even US and other nations started supporting rebels in Russia for their own vested interests.

Unless and until all countries stop abetting terror groups or other splinter groups who fight for independence in the neighbourhood to gain regional supremacy, tackling global terror is impossible. The sooner the countries realise it, the better it is for human beings.
