Girl commits suicide in KPHB colony

A 22-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling fan at her residence in KPHB police limits on Saturday night. No suicide note was found from the spot.

The deceased identified as K Vani, took the extreme step at her residence in PJR Nagar, the police said.

According to police, Vani was upset since her parents were looking for a match to get her married and the same was suspected to have driven her to suicide. “On Saturday night, she was found hanging from the ceiling fan of her room,” the cops added.

A case has been registered under Section 174 (suspicious death) of the CrPC.
