8 year old girl drowns in Godavari river

A eight-year-old girl, who had a holy dip in Godavari river at Bhadrachalam, drowned on Friday. According to police, a businessman, Vittal, along with his family from Nizamabad, went to Bhadrachalam on a pilgrimage. All the family members went to a bathing ghat to have a holy dip. They ventured into the river and the little girl Vaishali was drowned.
Khammam: A eight-year-old girl, who had a holy dip in Godavari river at Bhadrachalam, drowned on Friday. According to police, a businessman, Vittal, along with his family from Nizamabad, went to Bhadrachalam on a pilgrimage. All the family members went to a bathing ghat to have a holy dip. They ventured into the river and the little girl Vaishali was drowned. Three other members of the family were rescued by alert local youth. It is said that the youth traced out Vaishali. However, the girl breathed her last while being taken to a local hospital.
