Teen gang raped; four arrested
In a shocking incident, a 17-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by four youths in Yacharam area on the outskirts of the city, police said on Thursday. The incident occurred on Wednesday night at Old Mall Colony when the girl, an intermediate student, had gone to answer the nature\'s call in an open field, the cops said.
Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, a 17-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by four youths in Yacharam area on the outskirts of the city, police said on Thursday. The incident occurred on Wednesday night at Old Mall Colony when the girl, an intermediate student, had gone to answer the nature's call in an open field, the cops said.
The girl did not report the incident to her parents but later she mustered courage and revealed the details of the shocking incident to them. Based on a complaint lodged by the victim on Thursday, Yacharam police registered a case against Venkatesh, Chinna, Shanker and Vijay under Section 376 D of the IPC and Criminal Law Amendment Act 2013. "The four accused were taken into custody and are being questioned," inspector J Madan Mohan Reddy said.
