Jailed actor experiencing withdrawal symptoms?
Tollywood actor Uday Kiran (31), who was recently booked under Preventive Detention (PD) Act for drug peddling and other offences, is believed to be facing ‘withdrawal symptoms’ in the Chanchalguda jail, where he has been lodged.
Hyderabad: Tollywood actor Uday Kiran (31), who was recently booked under Preventive Detention (PD) Act for drug peddling and other offences, is believed to be facing ‘withdrawal symptoms’ in the Chanchalguda jail, where he has been lodged.
Unconfirmed reports say that the actor has been shifted to the Institute of Mental Health, Erragadda for treatment after he was found behaving in an abnormal fashion for the last few days. His behavior is said to be line with ‘withdrawal symptoms’ usually experienced by addicts.
Uday Kiran has acted in the movies ‘Facebook, Parare, Rakshakulu and Yuva Rajyam. On March 24, he was arrested in connection with a brawl in a bar at the posh Daspalla Hotel in the city. In an inebriated condition, he had broken the windscreen of a parked car and the window panes of the hotel.
He was sent to judicial remand and was put in Chanchalguda central prison. Attempts of the media to get confirmation from the hospital authorities were in vain as they were denied permission.
