Bhadrachalam: A CRPF jawan allegedly attempted suicide here on Wednesday. According to sources, head constable Jetti Srimannarayana attached to 141 Battalion tried to end his life by shooting himself with his service firearm.
The authorities rushed him to Area hospital in Bhadrachalam and later to Hyderabad for better treatment. Superintendent Dr Koti Reddy said that his condition was stable.
In another incident, 18 persons were injured, three of them critically, when a TSRTC bus belonging to Narsampet depot overturned on Gundala-Pasra road.
