It comes from the Latin words ‘mille’ means thousand and ‘annual’ means year (pre-millennialism, pre-tribulation pre-millennialism, post-millennialism, a millennialism). According to one interpretation of Christianity, a millennium is an interval of time when Christ rules, and it will be a golden era and a time of universal peace.

The milestones of the second millennium are: 1787 – US Constitution signed; 1950 – Indian Constitution came into effect.

The 21st century is the first century of the third millennium which has started off with increased usage of Internet.
The Third Millennium: A History of the World AD 2000-3000 is the title of the book written by Brian Stableford and David Langford which is a fictional work that talks about the future of humanity in the backdrop of technological and sociological developments.

Millennials are most educated, trying to maintain work-life balance, endeavouring to be entrepreneurs, they have the opportunities to work from home, more aware of environmental and ecological issues; positive in outlook.

The millennial generation is also termed as Generation Y. Note that millesimal is an adjective meaning thousandth, of or belonging to thousandth, of or dealing with thousandths. As a noun, millesimal refers to a thousandth part. Millesimal comes from the Latin word ‘millesimus’.

Startups reward their thousandth customer! Millesimal is the quotient of a unit divided by 1000, or one of 1000 equal parts. Millipede or millipede is an arthropod having a long segmented body with two pairs of legs in each segment. Millipedes survived in the second millennium, will they in the current one?
