Hyderabad: Charminar To Get Facelift. The Charminar of Hyderabad is currently undergoing surgery. The Archeological department is getting ready to bring back the glory of Charminar on the occasion of its completing 400 years of history.

As part of the programme, they painted and aligned the scrape walls under the guidance of the Archeological monitoring official R.Krishnayya.
Through Advanced Chemical Process and Pre-repair policy, the works will be completed in 4 phases.
1. In the first phase the monument will be cleaned with ordinary water.
2. Later the wall will be washed with non-saline water with 5% ammonia mixture.
3. In the third phase all the holes and breaks will be filled with Marble powder.
4. Finally the construction will be coated with a rehydrated mixture of lime, glue, and egg yolk.
