An endeavour to ignite young minds

The Andhra Loyola Reviewers’ Association organised its ninth book review session on Thursday. K Priyanka Parameswari, a final year B Sc student, reviewed former President APJ Abdul Kalam’s autobiography ‘Wings of Fire’ at the session, which was presided over by college principal Fr GA Peter Kishore.

Speaking on the occasion, Fr Kishore said that the review programme was initiated to encourage students to read and understand writers’ perspective. “Participation in intellectual forums and reading books help students enhance their understanding and outlook,” he said.

Association secretary GA Prasada Rao said that the event was to promote reading habit among the students.Later, mementos were given away to seven students who presented book reviews.Lecturer P Srinivasa Rao, association co-ordinator T Sree Kumar and others were present.
