As many as 2000 students were conferred with degrees during the fifth convocation ceremony of the Koneru Lakxhmi University (KLU). The ceremony was conducted in the campus at Vaddeswaram village in Guntur on Saturday.
As many as 2000 students were conferred with degrees during the fifth convocation ceremony of the Koneru Lakxhmi University (KLU). The ceremony was conducted in the campus at Vaddeswaram village in Guntur on Saturday.
Supreme Court Judge, NV Ramana, along with Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation president, Koneru Satyanarayana, conferred degrees on the students. Besides, The KL University also conferred honorary degree of D.Sc on Scientific Advisor to Raksha Mantri, G Satish Reddy on the occasion.
Delivering the convocation address, Justice Ramana exhorted youngsters to work hard and serve the motherland. He said that moral education with emphasis on Indian tradition and culture should be part of the curriculum in all education institutions.
He also stressed on the need for revamping the education system to facilitate students to participate in social activities to know human values. He called upon the parents to develop values and ethics among the children to make them as better citizens of the country, he said.
KLU Chancellor M Ramamoorty, Vice-Chancellor LSS Reddy and Registrar T Umamaheswara Rao. Later, the Vice-Chancellor presented the annual report.
