​Karimnagar: Implement the child rights and laws intended for children strictly in the district, Finance Minister Eatala Rajendar ordered the officials of district administration here on Monday.
He attended as a chief guest at the Balotsav celebrations organised under the district welfare department at the Collectorate conference hall here.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister suggested the parents to encourage the children in all fields by injecting courage and determination in them for reaching good positions in future.
He said children are the most innocent people in the world. All-round development of children occurs only through education.
They should be taught about patriotism, importance of human relations, love and affection from an early age. Today’s children are tomorrow citizens.
The future of the nation is dependent on how well they are shaping out, the Minister said. Rajender said there was no difference between boy and girl.
At present girls are excelling in all fields and receiving many awards and rewards. The parents must treat both children equally and must give same importance to both, advised the Minister.
He said that the government has allotted Rs 400 crores in the budget for providing nutritious and balanced diet for children in the State.
The government has started 500 welfare schools for giving quality education to the children of weaker sections. The State has become a role model to other states in the country by implementing the welfare schemes successfully here.
The Minister handed over 33,000 ATM cards issued by the Central Cooperative Bank to the children of age group 3-18 years and inaugurated ‘Beti-Padavo and Beti-Bachavo’ poster along with distributing prizes to the children, who won in the competitions during Balotsav celebrations.
Zilla Parishad Chairperson Tula Uma, State Cultural Department Chairman and Manakondur MLA Rasamai Balakishan, MLC Naradasu Lakshman Rao, Joint Collector Badri Srinivas, City Mayor Ravinder Singh, Central Cooperative Bank President Konduri Ravinder Rao, ICDS Chairperson Sandhya Rao and District Welfare Officer Girija Rani were present along with others.
