​Khammam: Slamming the state government for going back on its poll promises, the Communist Party of India stated the ruling TRS has completely failed to bail out farmers by not fixing Minimum Support Price for their produce.

After releasing a poster related to a protest programme to be held on March 27 here in Khammam on Friday, CPI district secretary Bagam Hemanth Rao urged people to participate in large numbers in the protest programme.

“Tribals in agency areas are carrying out agriculture in Podu lands for the last four decades. Instead of giving pattas to them, the government is lodging false cases against them and sending them to jail,” he alleged, demanding the government to fulfil its poll promises especially, two bedroom houses to the poor.

CPI leaders Potu Prasad, S K Janimiya, B G Climont, Mekala Srinivas Rao, Chemakuri Venkkanna and Rama Krishna were present along with others.
