​Peddapalli: The State government is striving hard to provide better health services to the people and making several revolutionary changes in medical and health department to make the services available to common people, said District in-charge Collector S Prabhakar Reddy.
He participated in a training programme conducted for ANMs on PC tablets (Personal Computers) at Trinity Degree College here on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, the in-charge Collector said that the government is modernising health centres across the district to provide better medical facilities for the common people. The government is investing Rs 21,000 on every PC tablet, which will be distributed to ANMs in the district.
In the first phase, about 49 PC tablets will be distributed to the ANMs discharging their duties in eight primary health centres in Peddapalli constituency. On Saturday, PC tablets will be distributed to the ANMs working in primary health centres of Manthani and Ramagundam areas, the in-charge Collector informed.
“The ANMs must learn how to operate the PC tablet during the two-day training and must update the information through online by discharging their duties with responsibility”. The ANMs using the PC tablets must coordinate with health officials of PHCs, he advised.
District Medical and Health Officer (DM&HO) Bikshapathi, Deputy DM&HO Nagaraju, Dr Yashoda, Dr Krupabhai and District Immunisation Officer were present along with ANMs.
