Hyderabad: US-based education services provider ELS International Education Pathways started its operations in Telangana by opening its centre in Hyderabad. The institute would counsel students aiming at admissions in foreign universities. ELS is also keen on providing on-campus English language training for international students getting admissions in the well-regarded Indian varsities.

Mark W Harris, President and CEO ELS Educational Services Inc said, “Hyderabad has always been the nerve centre of education with a strong focus on academics. The students from the city have excelled worldwide provided they are given the right opportunities and environment. With a large talent pool, there is a strong need to get the appropriate exposure of global environment.

We aim to assist students in achieving their personal and professional goals, by providing them with quality International education counselling and admission services. We also plan to help students across India by opening more ELS Education Services centres at various locations in North & West India.”

ELS Education Services provides direct entry pathways to more than 750 institutions with English and study skills training provided by ELS Language Centers in 10 countries and on more than 58 university campuses. To support the Indian Student with English proficiency, the centres have a globally recognised ELS English certification.

As part of these plans, ELS, which had entered into an agreement with SRM University in Tamil Nadu a year ago, is currently training around 1,000 foreign students for English in the latter's campus. It is also exploring similar opportunities with other varsities in the country.

ELS in India have extended its free quality services to more than 350 students in the past three years of operation in India, matriculating students to competitive institutions around the world. ELS India plans to strategically expand, offering its quality services to all the major developed and developing cities in India by 2018.

The company is also exploring partnerships with Indian universities and high schools to design content and more relevant programmes for students.
