‘Govt should take steps to solve farmers’ issues at market yards’

Narsingi: Telangana Jana Samithi Chief Kadandaram demanded that the government should take the necessary steps to solve the issues and clear the difficulties faced by the farmers at market yards in the area.

After visiting the market yard at Narsingi in Medak district on Monday, the TJS party founder spoke to the media and asked the government to supply sufficient gunny bags at the market yards for the farmers to overcome the shortage. Due to the negligence of the officials, farmers’ produce at the yards are being piled for three weeks due to the lack of transport facility to the markets leading to damage by the untimely rains, he alleged.

Kodandaram also demanded the TRS government to purchase all the crops from the farmers at the assured rates irrespective of quality and damage of the produce by taking steps to maintain the correct estimations of agriculture stocks and produce. Before that, the TJS chief attended a wedding at Narsingi.
